How we do it

5 steps

Our Digital Media Specialist and Advertising Director work out who you need to reach and where they watch (YouTube, broadcaster apps, connected TVs), then split the budget accordingly. You see the plan and the reasoning before a dollar is committed.

We spec every placement so your assets fit it properly. Got a TVC? We cut it down to the formats each platform needs. Starting from nothing? Our in-house creative team produces the ads (see video production below).

YouTube runs through Google Ads. BVOD and CTV run through Display & Video 360 or direct with the broadcasters, whichever gets you better rates on that buy. We verify GA4 conversion tracking before launch rather than patching it in afterwards.

Weekly. We move budget between formats, audiences and dayparts based on completed views, cost per outcome and frequency data, and we pause anything that isn’t earning its place.

Monthly, spend to result, with what we’re changing next and why. You keep access to every account. It’s your data and your media.

FAQ

BVOD stands for Broadcaster Video On Demand: the free, ad-funded streaming apps run by Australia’s TV networks (9Now, 7plus, 10 Play and SBS On Demand). Viewers log in to watch shows on demand, the ads can’t be skipped, and the login data lets you target by age, location and interests with far more precision than broadcast TV. It’s television reach, bought like digital.

A 15-second spot before an episode of a reality series on 9Now. A 30-second ad mid-roll in a drama on SBS On Demand, shown only to viewers in your state. A campaign that follows one person from their phone at lunch to their living-room TV that night. Same big-screen environment as a TV commercial, with digital targeting and reporting underneath.

BVOD is bought on a cost-per-thousand-views basis, and the rate moves with audience, market and time of year, so no honest agency quotes a flat price before scoping. What we can say: you don’t need a broadcast-scale budget or a $100k TVC to be on the big screen, and you’ll see the full media cost, our fee and the split between channels before anything is booked.

Usually both, doing different jobs. YouTube gives you enormous reach at low cost, formats that drive clicks, and fine-grained bidding. BVOD gives you unskippable ads in premium shows on the biggest screen in the house. A common play is building reach on BVOD, then retargeting those households on YouTube, where the viewer can actually click through and buy.

Yes. Our in-house creative team writes, shoots and edits video for advertising, and we version existing footage into every length and ratio a campaign needs. Plenty of clients bring a finished TVC and we handle the cutdowns and platform specs. Either way, media and creative are planned together, which is where most video campaigns quietly fall apart.

We agree the measures before launch: completed views and their cost, reach and frequency, lift in branded searches, and GA4 conversions on attribution windows you’ve signed off. Then we report against those same measures every month, in plain English. If a channel isn’t paying its way, you’ll read that in the report too, along with where the budget went instead.
