# Static ad creative

Still ads for paid social, display and out-of-home, designed in-house and exported to every size the placement list demands. We also run media for most of our clients, so our statics get judged on cost per result, not on how they looked in the deck.

**Proof**

- [Southern Phone](https://gudu.com.au/southernphone/) — full-service partner since 2021, statics across the account
- $13m+ in ad spend managed, much of it behind creative made in this studio
- 98% client retention

## What you get

- **Paid social statics.** Single images and carousel sets for Meta, TikTok and LinkedIn. Each placement gets its own crop; a feed square stretched into a Story is the tell of a rushed studio.
- **Display banners.** The full Google Display Network and programmatic size set produced from one master layout, so a campaign launches with every slot covered.
- **OOH statics.** Billboards, street furniture and retail screens, designed for the viewing distance and dwell time of the site, then supplied to each media owner's spec.
- **Variant sets built for testing.** Alternate hooks and offers as separate assets under clear naming, so the ad account reports results per idea rather than per campaign.
- **Refresh rounds.** New versions briefed off frequency and fatigue data, so replacements are ready before performance drops.
- **Copy on the ads.** Headlines and CTA lines written in-house alongside the design, or placed from lines your team supplies.
- **Every file, yours.** Master layouts and all exports handed over. If you leave, the creative leaves with you.

## How we do it

1. **Brief against the media plan.** We start from where the ads will run and what they have to do: placement list, objective, and what the account data already says has worked. If we run your media, that data is in the next room. If another agency runs it, we ask them for the placement spec and the performance story so far.
2. **Concept.** Mark Hebblewhite, our Design Specialist, works up a small set of directions in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud. You react to three or four layouts rather than scrolling fifty near-identical ones. Copy lines come from our writers in the same round, so words and design are decided together.
3. **Build and version.** The chosen direction becomes a master layout, then every export the placement list needs, named to a convention the media team can trace. One concept can become thirty-plus files; the naming is what makes the test results readable later.
4. **Approval.** You sign off every asset before anything runs. Amendments happen here, on a proof, not after launch.
5. **Read and iterate.** Joseph Arboleda, our Digital Media Specialist, watches per-asset performance in the ad accounts. Winning ideas get pushed further, fatigued assets get retired, and the next round is briefed by numbers instead of hunches.

## FAQ

**How much does static ad creative cost?**

We price per set, scoped on two things: how many concepts you need and how many placements each one exports to. Concepts are where the cost sits; once a master layout exists, additional sizes are quick. Ongoing campaigns usually move to a monthly creative retainer, which works out cheaper per asset than one-off sets.

**How fast can you turn statics around?**

A new concept set typically takes one to two weeks from brief to approved files, depending on rounds of feedback. Resizes and variants of an approved master are much faster, usually days. If you're running always-on paid social, we schedule refresh rounds in advance, so new creative is ready before the current set fatigues rather than commissioned after.

**What formats and sizes are included?**

Whatever the placement list requires: Meta feed, Stories and Reels cover sizes, TikTok and LinkedIn specs, the standard GDN and programmatic banner set, and print-resolution OOH files to each media owner's template. We work from the actual spec sheet, so nothing bounces back from the platform or the media owner.

**Can you make our ad creative if another agency runs the media?**

Yes. We ask for their placement list and whatever per-asset performance data they'll share, and we deliver named, spec-correct files their team can traffic directly. Plenty of our design work runs in accounts we don't manage. That said, the feedback loop is tighter when creative and media sit in the same building. Treat that as our sales pitch, not a condition of working together.

**How many variants do we actually need?**

Fewer, better-separated ones. A useful test changes one meaningful thing at a time, the hook or the offer or the visual idea, so the result actually tells you something. Three or four genuinely different variants per concept beats ten shuffles of the same layout. We'd rather ship a small set with a clear test plan than pad the invoice with lookalikes.

**Who owns the finished files?**

You do. Master layouts, working files and every export are handed over, and nothing is held hostage to keep you on a retainer. If you build an in-house team later, they inherit organised, editable files with a naming convention that still makes sense. That's deliberate.
