Gudu x Marina Bay Sands: Organic Search Engine Optimisation Research

As a part of our commitment to staying at the forefront of market trends and dynamics, we routinely conduct comprehensive SEO analyses across various markets and industries. Our objective is to understand the competitive landscape and identify key areas of opportunities and challenges. 

Our team recently conducted an extensive analysis of both organic and paid search rankings for Marina Bay Sands, comparing performance against a selection of key competitors in the Singaporean market: Marriott International, Accor, Raffles, and Pan Pacific. Our focus was specifically on the Singaporean property website pages.

Our findings revealed a fiercely competitive environment, with all five brands competing across more than 250 search terms. 

However, we identified a significant area of growth for Marina Bay Sands.

This opportunity/scenario represents over 73,000 unique opportunities each month where their competitors are potentially capturing their market share.

The financial implication of this is significant, with an estimated loss in earned traffic equating to approximately $150,000 SGD per month, or nearly $1.8m SGD annually.

We recommended to focus SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) efforts on these shared search terms which were currently driving thousands of dollars in earned traffic for their competitors.
